Competition and purchase terms

Please read before you pay
Confirmed and credited votes are non-refundable. Ticket refunds under our standard policy apply only where payment has been collected but tickets cannot be allocated because available seating capacity has been exceeded. Allow 3–12 working days after an eligible refund is initiated. Statutory consumer rights apply.
1. Acceptance and purchase information
These terms apply to voting, ticket purchases and free event registrations made through With The Starz. By submitting a vote, completing a purchase or registering for an event, you agree to these terms and the event or voting rules displayed before you confirm.
Review your selected contestant, voting window, event, ticket category, quantity and total carefully. Prices, availability and any applicable charges are shown at checkout. You must be authorised to use the payment method you provide and supply accurate contact details.
2. Voting and competition rules
Votes apply only to the contestant and voting window selected at checkout. The price, minimum quantity and closing time displayed for that window apply. Legitimate repeat purchases are permitted where the published rules allow them. A vote does not guarantee qualification, a ranking or a particular competition outcome.
Voting purchases are final and non-refundable once payment is confirmed and the purchased votes have been credited. We do not offer refunds because you change your mind, select the wrong contestant or quantity, or are dissatisfied with a contestant’s performance, elimination or the results. Credited votes cannot be reassigned to another contestant or voting window.
A debit without credited votes, a duplicate debit or an unauthorised payment should be reported for investigation. A pending payment is not proof that votes have been credited. Payment errors are reviewed separately from requests to reverse valid votes; any remedy required by law remains available.
Voting is available only during published windows. The published scoring and qualification rules for the relevant stage govern the competition. Attempts to manipulate voting, misuse payment methods or interfere with the platform may result in investigation and the removal of invalid votes.
3. Tickets, availability and admission
Tickets and free registrations are valid only for the event and category stated on the confirmation. Starting checkout or making a payment attempt does not reserve a seat. Paid admission is confirmed only after payment verification and successful ticket allocation.
Each ticket admits one person and has a unique admission credential. Keep your ticket and verification codes private. A credential can be checked in once; re-entry is not permitted. A copied, shared or previously used credential does not provide an additional admission.
You are responsible for arriving in time and complying with the venue’s published entry and safety requirements. Free registrations have no cash value. Where both finale scoring stages form part of one physical show, a single valid admission covers that show.
4. Ticket refund policy: payments exceeding available seats
Our ticket refund policy covers payments we successfully collect for tickets that we cannot allocate because the available seating capacity for the purchased event or category has been exceeded. Following verification, we will refund the amount paid for the affected, unallocated tickets. You will not be required to accept a different event or ticket category instead.
Where only part of an order cannot be fulfilled, the refund covers the unallocated tickets; any tickets successfully issued under that order remain valid. If no tickets in the order can be allocated because capacity has been exceeded, the full amount paid for those tickets will be refunded.
Outside this capacity-related exception, tickets are non-refundable under our standard purchase policy. We do not offer discretionary refunds for a change of mind, an accidental choice of date or category, inability to attend, late arrival, a missed event or an unused ticket. This policy is subject to the statutory rights described below.
5. Refund processing and timing
Once a capacity-related refund is verified, we will initiate it through Paystack and provide confirmation using the purchase contact details supplied. Allow 3–12 working days from the date the refund is initiated for the funds to appear. Working days exclude weekends and public holidays. This is an estimated processing allowance, not a guaranteed bank credit date; timing depends on the payment method, Paystack and the receiving bank.
Refunds are normally returned through the original payment channel. If Paystack requires further information to complete a refund, provide it only through a verified support channel. We will never ask for your card PIN, CVV, banking password or one-time payment code.
If the refund has not appeared after 12 working days, contact the organiser through the official contact details on your event information or purchase confirmation. Include your payment reference and refund confirmation so the transaction can be traced with Paystack.
6. Payment issues and support
Keep your order or payment reference and confirmation. If you have been debited but your purchase remains pending, check the existing purchase status before paying again. A bank debit or popup message alone does not establish that tickets have been issued or votes credited.
For purchase enquiries, contact the organiser through the official details published with the event or your confirmation. Provide the reference, purchase email where supplied, transaction date, amount and a description of the issue. Never publish ticket credentials or sensitive payment information.
7. Consumer rights, privacy and changes
These terms are subject to applicable Nigerian law. Nothing in them excludes or limits a consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including any applicable right relating to cancellation, an unprovided service, an erroneous charge or an unauthorised transaction. If a restriction in these terms conflicts with such a right, the applicable law takes precedence.
If an event is cancelled, postponed or materially changed, we will communicate the arrangements and any remedies required by applicable law. The standard refund restrictions above do not remove those rights.
We process purchase and verification information as described in our Privacy Policy. We may update these terms for future transactions. The version accepted when you purchase continues to govern that purchase, subject to applicable law.
Read our Privacy Policy for information about your data.
